Resident Tuition Waivers

A limited number of resident tuition waivers are available for graduate students who are legal residents of the State of California. The waiver applies to State Tuition only and does not cover University fees. Application for waivers should be completed through the link provided below. Students in state-supported programs are eligible to apply. Students in self-supported programs are not eligible (Accounting, Business Analytics, Fire Protection Engineering, Packaging Value Chain, Quantitative Economics, Taxation). Non-Resident Tuition Waivers

A limited number of non-resident tuition waivers are available for graduate students. The waiver is defined as a reduction in tuition fees for non-resident students to the resident rate. The waivers provide financial support for highly qualified applicants from outside the State of California. Students in self-supported programs are not eligible (Accounting, Business Analytics, Fire Protection Engineering, Packaging Value Chain, Quantitative Economics, Taxation). Application for Non-Resident Tuition Waiver

The deadline for the first round of applications will be March 1, 2020. The deadline for the second round of applications will be June 1, 2020.

You will only apply one time, and your application will automatically move to the second round if you are not selected for a tuition waiver during the first round of review.

Criteria

Address the following in you application

Scholastic Achievements

Scholastic achievement including GPA, standardized tests such as GRE, GMAT, etc. (only students with at least a 3.0 GPA overall will be considered).

Accomplishments

Significant accomplishments such as research or work experience.

Recognition

Recognition of excellence in your field by recipt of academic awards and activities in Professional Societies.

Requirements

Student must be engaged in fulltime studies toward their degree

Student must have a minimum of 8 units per quarter

Recipients of CA State University Grants (SUG) are not eligible for a Tuition Waiver

Applications must be submitted by March 1 to be considered for the first round of awards and by June 1 for the second round.

The waivers are for graduate students enrolled in state supported graduate programs ONLY, not self-support graduate programs.
