Financial Opportunities

Prospective and continuing graduate students should complete the following steps when seeking financial support:
1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for each year you plan to enroll. The FAFSA is typically available by October 1, and should be completed as early as possible.
2. Continuing students should complete the Cal Poly General Scholarship application available through their My Cal Poly Portal; this typically opens in Spring each year. New students will have the opportunity to complete during their first enrolled term.
3. Graduate Education offers a limited number of financial award opportunities, including fellowships and tuition waivers. To be considered, students must first complete the FAFSA. Most opportunities do not accept direct student applications; instead, students must be nominated by their faculty advisor or program graduate coordinator. If you are interested in being considered, please connect with your faculty advisor or graduate coordinator.
