BLENDED DEGREE OPTION

The M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Cal Poly is designed to prepare students to work in research or product design. With a base of knowledge in systems-level foundation, students can select an area of emphasis based on their specific area of technological interest including biomechanics, stress analysis, thermos-fluid sciences, and robotics. Students develop competency in advanced mathematics, formulate system level solutions to problems, and develop effective communication and project management skills. Career opportunities can be found in automotive, computers, electronics, aviation, defense, HVAC, petroleum, food production, space exploration, and wind energy.
